The Blue Jay often mates for life & has tight family bonds. The nestlings leave the nest together at about 17-21 days old. They remain with & are fed by their their parents for one to two months. This listing is for both adult blue jays & their two nestlings, but there are options for just the adults or nestlings or a combo. These large blue birds has been needle felted, which is a time consuming process in which wool is repeatedly poked by a single barbed needle until the desired shape is formed. Great care has been taken to carefully depict their markings, sizes & colors. The male stands on sturdy wire feet & is lifesize at 11 inches long with glass black eyes. The female is a little bit smaller & the nestlings do not have legs. Your bird family is custom made once you place your order. I usually ship your order within 10 days of payment, but please allow me up to 2-3 weeks to get your order done, especially during busy holiday times or for multiple orders.
