Handmade Philippine-Mahogany Folding Stool, Footstool Or Side-Table

A unique folding stool design made of Philippine-mahogany wood with a two piece seat. The stool folds up to a compact design & the two seat portions press together when you sit on the stool to hold it firmly in place. It is great for RV camping, or casual outside use, or anytime you want a quick stool that stows easily. When folded the support bar under the seat makes a convenient carry handle. The wood has been stained mahogany color & finished with polyurethane.It should not be damaged by watermarks or spills. As a sit upon stool, it will hold a 300 pound person. As a footstool, it is a convenient height for resting with your feet up. It can also be a nice little side table. The stool is made of Gmelina arborea wood also called Philippines mahogany. This is a tropical hardwood. We buy the trees from tree farmers in Leyte, Phiippines. The planting of the trees on the tree farm is documented & permitted by the national government of the Philippines. The cutting of the trees is permitted by the national government. We own the sawmill that mills the lumber & the wood shop that fabricates the stools. Set up the stool is: 19 high, 13.5 inches wide. 11.5 inches deep. Folded the stool is 21 high, 11.5 inches wide, & only 4 inches thick. The weight is 8 pounds. There is an optional foam pad for the stool. It is covered in a zippered beige abaca cover. It has a unique tie string underneath so the pad can be tied to the stool handle.
