Hanging moon decoration featuring my ballerina drawing & watercolour moon. Each piece is printed from my original artwork onto a sturdy 300gsm watercolour paper & finished with hand-dyed silk ribbons to create a flowing skirt. The silk ribbons have purposely torn & frayed to create her time worn , windswept appeal. The ribbons have been hand dyed using natural organic plant dyeing methods in ethereal shades of the shoreline & coast... Underneath the silk is a fine layer of antique 19th century tulle. The ribbons have been gently sprayed to keep their volume . A little gentle tease when she arrives will bring them back nicely. The moon is constructed from two layers of 300gsm watercolour paper for extra strength & durability. Approximate measurements: Moon: 15cm ( 6 inches ) Overall hanging length including ribbons: 16 inches Designed & handmade in my studio.
