Battery operated - requires 1 x AA battery (supplied). The 30cm clock has a hook on the back for hanging - wall fixings not supplied. Clocks from 40cm upwards will come with a heavy-duty command hanging strip which allows you to fix to the wall without using nails & prevents damaging your walls. Clocks sized 45cm & above come with an hour & minute hand only - these do not have a hand to count the seconds. This clock is fitted with a precision silent motion mechanism.
