The dome-shaped lamp base is hand-built using air-dry clay, carefully shaped & finished to complement the artwork on the lampshade. Stained a rich dark reddy-brown & sealed with protective varnish, the base has a warm rustic finish with subtle surface texture that echoes the natural woodland tones in the design. The lampshade features my own original artwork, inspired by the pine forests surrounding the North-East of Scotland. Layered woodland forms, rolling hills, & a soaring buzzard create a peaceful landscape scene that captures the spirit of the Highlands & wild open spaces.
