The dome-shaped lamp base is hand-built using air-dry clay, carefully shaped & finished to complement the artwork on the lampshade. Stained a rich dark reddy-brown & sealed with protective varnish, the base has a warm rustic finish with subtle surface texture that echoes the natural tones in the design. The lampshade features my own original artwork, inspired by the pine forests surrounding the North-East of Scotland. Layered woodland forms, rolling hills, & birdlife create a peaceful landscape scene that captures the spirit of the Highlands & wild open spaces.
