Celebrating 100 years of our local town, Kirkintilloch's connection to Japanese whisky making, we are very excited to be launching a special edition collection of our whisky barrel clocks with silk kimono fabric. All our whisky barrel clocks are recycled from oak Scotch whisky barrels & barrel hoops. Every piece of barrel we work with is unique & has its own story, which makes each & every clock different from another. This clock is freestanding, designed to stand on a tabletop or mantelpiece however it can also be put on the wall. Let us know if that's what you prefer. This special edition collection features vintage Japanese Chirimen silk kimono cloth as shown. As a traditional form of dress, Japanese kimono is traditionally made from a single bolt of material with silk considered the ideal fabric. The kimono patterns used often reflect the changes in the seasons. The pattern on your particular clock may be different to this picture as the pattern changes across the fabric. Our blend of the best of Scottish & Japanese craftsmanship is a lasting reminder of our continued connection through shared history & shared experiences. This clock measures 31cm high 10cm wide & 2cm deep & it requires 1 AA battery which isn't included due to postage restrictions.
