Human Heart Wall Vase - Mint Green Earthenware Clay

I have always been fascinated with the beating heart after losing my father to heart disease as a young girl. I try to keep my heart healthy by eating lots of veggies. Unfortunately, I still don't have the exercise thing down yet. I have been making anatomical heart images on & off for years, whether it is sculpting or painting. I came across this heart mold in a shop & had to have it. This way I can produce multiples & keep them consistent.This Human heart doubles as a vase. Can be displayed with or with flowers. This vase holds water so you can display fresh flowers from you garden or from the farmer's market. Made using cone 04 earthenware clay, I press the clay into a mold. Each heart has a few different characteristics but all are the same size. I have fastened wire for hanging on the back. The heart is covered in black under glaze, which is then wiped off, & then covered in a soft translucent mint glaze. 4.75 inches tall x 5 inches wide x 2 inches thick. Due to the handmade nature of these vessels, each one will vary slightly in size & color.
