'Windswept Ireland' Windswept Ireland, Copper & Bronze Wire Sculptures of a Windswept trees on Heavy Driftwood base. The trees & branches are individually, painstakingly, hand twisted & built up gradually to create a very realistic tree forms. Inspired by the West coast of Ireland & the defiance of these trees which are constantly battered by the winds. Bent but not broken. Copper & Bronze wire which I oxidize & hand burnish to create the tones of aged copper. This is mounted on a stunning piece of driftwood found on the County Down coast.
