Materials: The pigeon parts are made of hardened stainless steel F I N I S H: Painted with durable indoor & outdoors white acrylic paint. The pigeon is cut from two pieces of a thin hardened stainless sheet, the part are cleverly engineered to transform the flat metal into a substantive sculpture. The two parts are screwed to the wall to hold the wing in the air Can be arranged in my composition or you can choose your own. These beautiful artifacts created by the design team at Paperna-Yaniv (a boutique architectural & product design firm from Israel) are an interesting collaboration between high-tech modern design & traditional manual handicrafts. Designed & cut using cutting-edge contemporary technology, they are opened & unfolded manually. The elegant pieces are influenced by the traditional Japanese craft of kirigami (which is both the cutting & folding of paper) as well as by 2D to 3D morphologies that occur in nature.
