Horseshoe Crab Handmade Metal Sculpture

This sculpture is based on the Horseshoe Crab (Limilidae) marine arthropods which are more closely related to arachnids than to crabs or crustaceans & which have been around for upto 450 million years. The sculptures shown in the pictures are approximately 0.50 meters long, made from Mild Steel then spray galvanised & painted gold as specified by the client for indoor display. These are freestanding although we were asked to make this one for wall mounting so they have brackets welded to the body, we could however provide a bracket to display the crab in any orientation required on the wall or a desk mount bracket of Mahogany & Steel Rod similar to those used for our Dinosaur Skulls. This was made for internal display but it would be reproduced in Stainless Steel for outdoors & given other finishes if preferred. It can be easily scaled up if desired & the pose altered to suit.
