Presenting, A Blockwork Orange Size: 24 x 22 Price: $1,599 Availability: Made to order, message me for current lead time. This piece is 22w X 24h, done in Cobalt blue, 'startling' orange, white & black. It is made of hundreds of dowels that have been hand cut, hand sanded, hand painted. The dowels are set at different depths which really imparts a feeling of movement all over the blue surface. The outlier square white/orange block functions well as a focal point, & was the motivation behind the name. One of my favorite things about this piece is the varying amount of orange you see as you move around the room. From straight on you can see down through all the pieces to the orange floor beneath, but from everywhere else all you see is the orange inside the frame. Very engaging.
