The double locking mechanism opens with one hand (handy when you're carrying a wriggling toddler), and there's no trip bar at the base. That makes it safer for stair landings where a low bar could catch your foot. When it's not needed, the quick release fittings let you lift it off without unscrewing anything. The screw fit installation keeps it firmly in place once mounted. You can set it to swing both ways for hallways or fix it to open one direction with the included stop pins (ideal for stairs where you don't want it swinging over the drop). The double locking system means little hands can't push it open, but adults can release it one-handed. At 72.5cm tall, it's high enough to stop climbers.
