Q1. Sleepy People is a fully focused e-commerce retailer that has created one of the most customer-friendly online experiences in the home & interiors industry. Can you share with us how you’ve gone about creating and delivering this focus?
We pride ourselves on offering a personal service with a carefully selected edit of bedtime must haves handpicked by us with relaxation in mind. We have made it really easy to shop our curated range of pillows based on sleep position, or plush duvets by warmth, along with those extra special finishing touches you can’t live without.

Q2. Sleepy People is recognised as an online sanctuary of sleep where you can find best-loved brands. How has it evolved since 2006 as a family-owned business?
Sleepy People is part of the Comfy Group, so we certainly know our stuff when it comes to a blissful night’s sleep for all the family, with over 40 years of experience in the bedding industry. In fact, it is our proud claim that 1 in 3 people in the UK sleeps on a pillow we have manufactured in our factory based right here in Manchester.
Q3. Sleepy People offers the highest quality bedding products which are ethically made and sourced in the UK. Can you tell us where and how you source these products?
We work closely with the nation’s favourite bedding brands as the exclusive license holder for Silentnight and Sealy which means that we can personally guarantee the quality of all products. This is our promise to our customers, as we manufacture many of the collections you see onsite ethically and sustainably in our purpose built Manchester production facilities.
We are also proud to have recently partnered with exciting new brand Snug on their first ever eco-friendly bedding range which is available to shop now. Snug pillows and duvets are all made sustainably using recyclable and reusable materials.
Their products are filled with the softest and fluffiest eco fibres that were once plastic bottles and have helped to prevent approximately 26 million of them from going into the ocean or landfill. Big believers in plant power - they also use only carbon negative sugarcane packaging so you can sleep happy knowing you’ve been that bit kinder to the planet.
Q4. I noticed that you have an extensive wellbeing collection on the website that is designed with sleep health and wellness in mind. Can you share more details with us about the wellbeing collection?
We have handpicked the Silentnight Wellbeing Collection for its innovative design and huge relevance right now. The collection promises to give you a calm and relaxing night’s rest which will help to positively impact your emotional wellbeing.
From our anxiety reducing hug-like Weighted Blanket to the Copper Pillow infused with naturally healing properties for rejuvenating beauty sleep, it’s all about encouraging our lovely customers to invest in rest and make time for self care.
Personally, I can’t live without the Silk Eye Mask. I love how luxurious and moisturising the silk feels against the delicate eye area. It brings a new meaning to beauty sleep as it rejuvenates the skin overnight which is great for anti-ageing too.

Q5. What’s next for Sleepy People, any big plans for the next 12 months?
We have ambitious growth plans in 2021 to be the lifestyle destination for the nation's most loved bedding brands and we’re so pleased to be partnering with ufurnish to join us on this journey.
