When the shade is open on top, a spot light shines upward & bounces off the ceiling to fill the space with a warm, golden-hued mood light. When it is open on bottom, it creates a more concentrated circle of light around the lamp. Each lamp is built by hand by skilled craftspeople, resulting in truly a unique lighting fixture. One is a dimmable 8W LED, with a lifespan of about 25,000 hours this option is energy efficient & is equivalent to a 70W incandescent.
