I hand painted a sunflower design with velvet underglazes on top of a black slip background. After the planter had been fired once, I glazed the inside in orchid purple glaze & covered the outside with a shiny clear glaze. I then fired the bowl in oxidation to about 2100 degrees Fahrenheit. I applied gold luster around the edges of the petals & fired a third time.
