Hand sewn cushion cover sewn from a piece of iconic sixties Heals fabric in a very rare colourway. It is more usually found in shades of yellow & green. This design, which is held in the Victoria & Albert museum's archives, was originally produced in 1965. The cover is lined in a natural beige linen & it has been piped in a matching purple cotton. All the seams have been double sewn & four stitched overlocked for strength. It has a concealed zip beneath the piping on the reverse for ease of opening. Barkcloth is so named because it has a rough surface like that of tree bark & there will be natural slubs & imperfections in the fabric.
