Antique/Vintage Hardwood Cabinet ~ Hand Painted Bees & White Anemones

This characterful cabinet possibly started life as a tobacco cabinet. It's been completely transformed into pretty decorative storage, perfect for art or craft supplies. The whole piece was thoroughly cleaned & sanded before being given washes of dilute furniture paint which allow the woodgrain to remain visible; the interior shows the original wood & has been oiled & polished. The anemone & bee design is hand painted & has been sealed with several layers of furniture wax. The cabinet has its original brass fixings allowing it to be wall mounted but it could equally be a tabletop cabinet. Please note it is substantial weighing 8.5 kilos. As with all my vintage pieces this has bumps & blemishes that reflect its previous life adding to its character & charm - there are a couple of small dinks in the edges of the wood & a fine split in the top left panel which doesn't affect it structurally.
