It's no-fuss minimalist style is the perfect compliment - not just to our other fixtures in the series, but a wide array of decors. Open panels eliminate the need for dusting or cleaning glass. A clean & bright glazed white porcelain socket pops inside the rosy bright copper cage. Our standard finish is unlacquered copper, which will eventually patina (see explanation below). If you desire for the copper to stay the bright rosy color of newly cleaned copper, a lacquer finish can be added for an additional fee. Solid brass mounting hardware is included. UL listed for damp locations. Solid copper is an amazing ancient metal. Non-corroding, it will last for generations. When newly cleaned, copper has a bright, rosy appearance. Over time, if left unlacquered & untouched, it will develop a rich natural patina. During the process of oxidization, watch the copper turn from rosy to orange, to brown, to green. How quickly this happens (especially indoors) depends on several environmental factors like humidity & salt air. If the patina is undesired, we do offer a lacquered finish option. Since oxidization is a naturally occurring process, even with a lacquer added, small areas of oxidization may still develop (it's hard to stop nature but overall the lacquer will inhibit the development of the patina & keep your copper looking rosy & bright for many years.
