Both include a battery-operated mechanism (1x AA battery - not included). The hands are not attached in order to keep them safe from bending or damage during transit but they are extremely easy to pop on & we have created easy-to-follow instructions. The mechanism is attached & includes a hook, so the clock is ready to hang right away. Clock hands may differ to the original photos as available stock can change from time to time.
