Wine Barrel Coffee Table With Shelf Oiled

The oiled wine barrel coffee table is made from a used oak barrel. French red wine was stored in the real barrique barrel for around three to five years before it was finally made into an original coffee table in our barrel forge. The high-quality, robust material, as well as the intensive color & structure, give the piece of furniture its character. The additional shelf provides extra storage space & makes the original piece of furniture not only tasteful but also practical. During production, the barrel wood & rings are first sanded down & screwed together. This removes coarse impurities & there is no longer any risk of injury from splinters. Fine, natural bumps & signs of wear (e.g. red wine stains & scratches) underline the authentic effect of the coffee table & therefore remain. After the normal processing procedure, this wine barrel table is treated with a special oil. The toy-safe & food-safe oil intensifies the natural coloring & makes it robust against the effects of the weather. If used outdoors, however, the surface should be re-oiled once a year, otherwise the wood will turn gray more quickly due to sun & rain. Despite the careful clamping of the barrel staves, small gaps can form between the staves over time, as wood works & changes over the years.
