When exposed to moisture directly or in high humidity Cast Iron is susceptible to rust, however light surface corrosion can easily be removed with wire wool & protected with a lightly oiled or waxed cloth. in extreme conditions such as outdoors we recommend applying a suitable finish such as lacquer or paint.
