This is an unusual wool desk clock, a very special one too, made with the wool of the legendary Lake District breed of sheep, the hardy Herdwick. The wool I have used for this clock is 100% pure undyed Herdwick wool. The main colour is a beautiful dark charcoal grey, the stripes are in a light grey yarn for contrast. Herdwick wool is naturally rough & tough, which is a good thing as these sheep spend their lives on the hills of the Lake District in all weathers & seasons! The base is 4mm (just over 1/8'') plywood. The clock is quartz, with a non ticking, sweeping movement & works with 1 x AA battery, the hands are silver coloured metal. I will include a black plastic stand at no extra charge. There is an integrated hook on the clock part, so you could also hang it on a wall. The clock measures 12 x 12cm (4 3/4'' x 4 3/4'') & it's ready to ship. Slate base & pebbles in the photos are NOT included.
