This unique piece was made from an ambrosia Silver Maple that sprouted around 1903 in the forests of Eastern Pennsylvania. This beautiful live edge coffee table was hand selected for its unique grain texture decorated by distinct ambrosia patterns. The large knot has been sealed to perfection with a clear hard filling, allowing an inside look into the core of this slab. A hand made signature copper plate has been embedded into the slab to specify the sprouting date, coordinates of the tree's location & the milling year. Easily enter the coordinates on Google Earth to venture out to your table's roots & legacy. To deliver you a table with its unique story we partner with local sawmills & get all of the information regarding a selected tree, tracking it back to its origins. Every unique slab finds a new home, one where it can showcase its heritage. The tabletop is supported by easily assembled stylish 3/4 iron legs fitted with a genuine cork wood bottom to protect floors & complete the industrial look. The wood is finely sanded & covered with multiple layers of protective oil & polyurethane to provide a satin sheen. We will deliver for free to Manhattan/ Jersey City area.
