This is an easy to fit 'open backed' kit consisting of narrow vertical & horizontal sections to create a narrow style batten & rail panelling as shown in examples in the pictures & is supplied at a standard height of 135cm + 2cm for trim, if fitted above skirting then add the skirting height on for total height. We use superior quality Medite branded moisture resistant MDF in our kits- not cheap DIY grade MDF- this results in a much smoother finish & egde which is ideal for decorative purposes. For a perfect finish we also prime & sand the facings & edges on the kit so they are easy to paint the final colour. The design of the panelling is a Batten & Rail style with narrow vertical battens. The gaps between the vertical battens are narrow & are sized from 5-15cm for most walls. Adjustments are possible for any other sizes, contact us if you need bespoke sized panels. There are options to get instant price quotes for common widths from 1.5m to 5.5m but we can of course do wider kits than this & bespoke sizes so please contact us to request a quote. The height of the panelling is 135cm +trim as standard (which is about the right height to be a headboard) but there is some variation in this possible. The kit is supplied with in sections & the design can be adjusted to increase the width & height of the kit easily to fit your wall & requirements. This panelling is 'open backed' & is designed to be fixed to a smooth plastered wall using a grab adhesive, PVA or similar adhesive. The wall is still visible through the panelling. The wall & panel sections are then painted all the same colour to give the impression the panel recesses are 'carved out' of the wall. Joins between panel sections are very small & can be easily filled & sanded for a seamless look, as shown in the pictures. This panelling can be installed above existing skirting to smooth walls.
