When you buy from us, you're getting more than a decorative sign you're getting a piece of consistent, trusted craftsmanship with a real history behind it. No two pieces are exactly alike, but every one is made with the same care & attention we've put into our work for a decade I try to evoke a sense of times past with colorful, fun signs from vintage & retro graphics as well as my own art work & ideas. Each one of my signs is made by hand using wood that's been around a while & has a history. It may be from a wall or floor, dresser or cupboard. You can't duplicate truly old wood so I use the real thing. I clean the wood, remove nails & paint, then I build the signs. I sometimes use the original faded, chipped patina of the wood or I paint & distress it to look as vintage as the wood it is on. I put a protective coating to keep your sign looking great for years to come. Lastly, a wire hanger is added on the back to give it an extra vintage, found in the attic, hand made feel. It's good to breathe new life into something old & worn that will add color, character & some whimsy to your life. I can put an exterior finish that will do a better job to protect it from the weather. I would still recommend putting it somewhere that offers protection from the elements if it's possible. ~They're made to order so there may be some variations from the signs shown. The nature of wood is that each piece will be slightly different. The weathering & rustic look makes each sign unique. It may be made of several pieces of wood or one single piece depending on vintage wood available at purchase. If you have a preference, please let me know. ~ since I have to work with the wood available to me at the time the order is placed, the wood could vary slightly & so can the size by a bit. Each one is handmade so there can be variation but I do my best to keep it as close to the sign pictured.
