I started making nightlight because I kept running into things in my half-awake stampings in the dark. Ouch! That stubbed little toe hurt, then I thought...I could use a nightlight. But a beautiful one, everything in my home (I try) is either functional or beautiful & I hope both. So here is my beautiful light in the dark that keeps you from running into walls in the dark hours! -Where? Bedroom,Bathroom,Entry,HandmadeBathroom,Bedroom,Kitchen,Entry,Christmas gift,moms. -Great Gift:mom,kids,girlfriend,best friend, boyfriend,husband,wife,teacher: PRETTY MUCH ANYBODY! I make my nightlight by a silly sketch- a theme for a decor, nightlight are supposed to be fun. I make that into a precise CAD drawing for my template & then I choose the colors. I assemble the glass roughly & cut to fit my template, then fire it in a kiln - several times usually to get the form right & then slump to the shape. After that I attach the nightlight mechanism, always testing it to make sure it works & ship it off with a new bulb. I carefully package it & send it off to light your way & not stub your toes in the middle of the night. It is fun & rewarding to make, I hope you love it too.
