The mesh base supports the mattress evenly across the full surface and allows good airflow underneath, which helps the mattress wear better over time.The top bunk has a full length guardrail with horizontal bar detailing that keeps sleepers secure and adds to the overall look of the frame. The angled ladder is fixed to the side of the frame and gives safe, easy access to the top bunk. The lower bunk base sits at 29.6cm from the floor, leaving a reasonable amount of space underneath for storage boxes or baskets. The bunk also separates into two completely independent single beds when needed, making it a smart long-term investment as your needs change over time.This bed is available in two options. The first is the frame only, which fits two standard 3ft single mattresses sold separately. The second option comes with two Cloud-Step Essential Bamboo Bonnell Spring Mattresses included. Each mattress has a soft bamboo-polyester cover that is naturally hypoallergenic and helps regulate temperature during the night. Inside there is a layer of ventilated wave foam for airflow, microfiber quilting for a soft comfortable feel, and a 17cm Bonnell spring unit that gives a light bouncy support. Each mattress is approximately 20cm deep and arrives vacuum packed and rolled for easy delivery.
