This hanging lamp is inspired by nature & made with Portuguese burel, a sustainable & natural materias. With a minimalist design, it fits perfectly in a dining or a living room decoration. Pedro, member of Folclore Gifts team, was responsible for the concept, the design & all the handcraft techniques used to transform beautiful & natural materials into a unique design piece. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: DIMENSIONS: 12cmX 43cm x 95cm - 4 3/4 x 16 15/16 x 37 3/8 MATERIALS: burel (Portuguese boiled wool), plywood & cotton fabric. WIRING: As this will be made to order, at the time of ordering please add a note letting us know the length you want from the ceiling to the light fixture's bottom. HANGING SYSTEM: strong nylon. CANOPY: Photos show in detail the canopy which will cover the electric box in the ceiling. Burel is a 100% wool craft fabric which production follows long lasting traditions. It is made of woven felted wool that comes from a mountainous Portuguese region, Serra da Estrela, & is used by mountain people & shepherds. It's similar to felt, but more rustic, while more soft & fluffy. Burel is woven & felted unlike wool felt that is felted but not woven, becoming more compact & resistant than a common wool cloth.
