For this table, a barrel is cut in half & reassembled with an oak tabletop. This creates a classic table shape with an individual frame & plenty of storage space for all sorts of things. The rustic charm gives every living space something special. The barrels used were previously used for storing red wine for around three to five years. Traces of this history can be found on both the outside & the inside of the barrel. Inside, the oak is intensely colored & still smells slightly of red wine. However, this scent fades after a few days & is then no longer noticeable. On the outside of the barrel wood you can find characteristic red wine stains, scratches & dents. We leave these on the barrel, as it is precisely these small flaws that make each table so authentic & unique. Oak wood is a very high-quality & robust raw material. These properties remain in the product because we place great value on the quality & durability of our products during processing. To begin with, the barrel is completely sanded down to remove coarse dirt & splinters. The clamping of the individual barrel staves, an adhesive under the rings & the screwing of the rings to the barrel wood contribute to the stability of the table. However, the wood can change naturally over time & small cracks can form between the staves. The two table tops are made from the original barrel lids & oak boards & connect the two halves of the barrel. The 120 cm width refers to the widest part of the barrel table, i.e. the belly. The table top at the top is therefore slightly smaller. Depending on the selected look, the surface is then oiled, charred or glazed. We include felt feet in the delivery, but the decorative items in the pictures are not included. The product is similar to the picture, but differs slightly due to the individual barrel properties.
