Wine barrels have long been used to store red wine. After a few years of use, they are sorted out by the winemakers & find their way into our workshop. The history of the barrels is still evident in the typical scratches, dents & similar features that we deliberately leave on the barrel. The red color & the fine smell of red wine inside the coffee table are also characteristics & make this product so unique. There is also plenty of space for storage under the removable oak lid. For this coffee table, we carefully sand the barrel wood & the rings in our workshop. This leaves only the typical features (scratches, small dents, etc.), but no dirt or sharp edges. To ensure that the wine barrel coffee table remains stable in the long term, we clamp the staves under the rings so that they stay in place even when they dry out. For further stability, we screw the rings to the barrel wood. The removable wooden lid is also made of oak & is adapted to the respective shape of each table. For the shabby black look, the table is first varnished black & then lightly sanded again. Felt feet are included in the delivery. The finished product is similar to the picture. Due to the individual barrel properties & grain during sanding, each table is unique.
