As seen on the Emmy award winning Master of None. The boom lamp has been an industrial classic for more than a century, & for good reason - they are beautiful to look at, & just plain useful! The Worcester updates this iconic form in modern materials & finishes. An elegant addition to your space that provides light right where you need it! This articulating boom lamp can be mounted to a wall, desk, headboard, etc., or hardwired. The steel arms measure 24 & 30 as pictured, or choose the 18/24 length. The joints are solid brass & allow the light to articulate fully. The socket is solid brass & U.L. rated. The parabolic shade is steel. The Worcester is wired with 14 feet (total) of twisted grey cloth covered cord & a quality black phenolic plug. It accepts a standard light bulb (E26 socket.) A light bulb is not included unless you are located in California (California orders ship with a CFL bulb.) The socket & wire are rated for 240V, so this light will work internationally with a change of plug or adapter. The dimmer versions are built with a dimmer insert inside the socket. The dimmer inserts are rated for US 120V supply only - they will not work with 240V. The hardwired version comes with an integral 5 wide x 1 deep cylindrical steel wall plate (instead of the pronged wall flange.) I have updated this model slightly since the original photoshoot in 2013. The current socket has a slimmer profile than pictured. Also the locking knobs on the joints are now solid brass, in a wing/lever style for better hold. These extension lamps are extremely versatile - install one or a pair in your living or reading area, or as a bedside light! They can be posed many different ways & provide excellent illumination.
