The picture shows the stool finished in a dark oak briwax & can also be finished in Dark oak Medium brown Jacobean Unfinished (sanded) These stools are great for any room in the home to give a warm natural addition. Therefore knots, cracks, scuffs, open grain, old nail holes, saw marks, hammer indents & historic markings are a common feature. We embrace all of these features as they are an integral part of the look & feel of our design & business model. Unevenness & small shallows in the wood are to be expected. As the reclaimed wood adjusts to the conditions in your home, over time there may also be slight movement in the wood such as shrinkage between planks, as well as small cracks opening & closing depending on the environment. in the unlikely event you find the character or a particular detail in the reclaimed wood is not for you then we are happy to accept returns & offer a full refund however products should be returned at your cost, securely packaged & insured, within fourteen days of receipt of your order.
