A handmade round top wooden stool, made from locally sourced reclaimed timber. Each round leg has been individually hand turned therefore each leg will not be 100% identical in terms of thickness, which adds to the charm of this piece. The picture shows the stool finished in a Jacobean bri wax & can also be finished in dark oak medium brown unfinished/bare just sanded. These stools are great for any room in the home to give a warm natural addition. Each piece of wood is carefully selected to gain a rustic appearance so may contain knots unique grain & small surface cracks which we believe gives each piece that we create its own unique identity, character & quirkiness which is the essence of our business. At grain & bare it we specialise in, & pride ourselves in creating individually handcrafted items that have their own unique characteristics, & to us they are perfectly imperfect. If you are looking for mass produced standard items then grain & bare it may not be right for you. Therefore knots, cracks, scuffs, open grain, old nail holes, saw marks, hammer indents & historic markings are a common feature. We embrace all of these features as they are an integral part of the look & feel of our design & business model. Unevenness & small shallows in the wood are to be expected. As the reclaimed wood adjusts to the conditions in your home, over time there may also be slight movement in the wood such as shrinkage between planks, as well as small cracks opening & closing depending on the environment. in the unlikely event you find the character or a particular detail in the reclaimed wood is not for you then we are happy to accept returns & offer a full refund however products should be returned at your cost, securely packaged & insured, within fourteen days of receipt of your order.
