If you're looking for a unique floating basin shelf with natural character & history, this is the piece. This elm comes from England's oldest registered elm tree, which stood for over 300 years. Trees of this age are exceptionally rare, as most mature elms were lost to Dutch Elm Disease. Each shelf is handcrafted by me in my Northamptonshire workshop, preserving a remarkable piece of English history in a functional piece for your home. To make your shelf even more special, I include a newspaper cutting featuring the famous tree it came from, allowing you to own & share the story behind your shelf.
