One of my keepsake boxes will enhance the beauty of any space, from mantel to dresser. Whether you are looking for a unique gift for a friend or loved one, or treating yourself to something special, this dolphin box is for you. As such a unique item, it is bound to draw the delight & fascination of family & friends. The one-of-a-kind sculpted wooden box pictured above, made from walnut, hickory & ebony woods, is handmade with love in New Jersey, USA. I sanded the exterior surfaces of the box & drawer extremely smooth, coated them with several coats of spray lacquer (sanding after each), & buffed them with a finishing wax to produce a luxuriously sleek feel that just begs to be caressed. This process helps to really bring out the brilliance of the wood within. No colors - stains or dyes - were used in making this product. The interior of the box & drawer are lined with black Suede-Tex velvet fiber to add to this box's sophistication & to help protect personal items stored within. This box depicts a mother & baby dolphin on the hunt for the fish shaped drawer pulls lining the bottom drawer. However, the two dolphins have their work cut out for them as the fish are disguising their location by blowing bubbles in the water. The detail on the box is wood burned. Gone Fishing is the perfect gift for the beach and/or dolphin lover in your life. The bottom drawer is large enough to hold small chain necklaces, bracelets, small earrings and/or rings. The top right drawer is large enough to accommodate small earrings & rings as well. The drawer on the top left is very small & is mainly for show, although you might be able to place very small earrings and/or a small ring or two in that also.
