Max wattage - 100 watts A Word About Copper - If copper is left in its raw natural state oxidization is normal, & to be expected. This means that your canopy, or any other bare copper component of your light, once given the final cleaning by us before packing, will begin to turn from bright, shiny pink to orangeish, & eventually to dark brown, & even green. This is the natural progression of the copper patina, & will take anywhere from a month to several years, depending on the environmental conditions surrounding it. It helps to envision the stages of a penny as it ages from the bright new penny color of copper to the deep brown of an old penny. The beautiful, natural patina of copper is usually a desirable benefit to the material, & people pay a substantial price to chemically speed up the process in many cases. If you choose to leave your copper raw then you will always have the option of either letting it naturally patina, or polishing it back to bright copper (steel wool is usually the simplest way to accomplish this). If you desire for the bare copper components of your light, such as the canopy, to be bright & shiny as long as possible, then choose the lacquered copper finish. We will coat the copper with a lacquer spray that will protect it from oxidization & keep it in the new penny stage for longer. The lacquer will usually last for several years, but can eventually wear off. All of our lights are made-to-order. Please allow 6-8 weeks for the making of your light. We love custom!
