Romantic handmade Toile de Jouy quilt in blue, yellow & ivory. This one-of-a-kind patchwork quilt is made from 36 individual blocks, with no two sections exactly alike. Each fabric was carefully selected & combined to create a balanced composition of colors, patterns & scenes. The more you look at it, the more small details you discover. This quilt was created from carefully collected fabric remnants from cushion covers, bags & other handmade projects. My goal is to use beautiful fabrics as fully as possible & transform them into something new with its own quiet character. Every single block was individually cut & assembled by hand. From the first pattern layout to the final thread, more than 50 hours of work went into creating this unique piece. Between the front & back layers is a batting that gives the quilt structure & a beautiful substantial feel, making it comfortable & cozy without feeling heavy.
