We named it Shift in honor of the offset table top. The design shifts the geometry of the table & transforms it into a multifunctional object. The Shift Side Table by weld & co opens up space for a variety of individual uses - on several levels. The slight offset of the table top creates a small compartment that offers enough room to keep personal items. in addition, it is possible to run a hidden electric cable through the table, so a power strip can be discreetly concealed. The lower part of the base also provides additional storage space for books or magazines. Our Shift Side Table has a role to play in many parts of the home - as a nightstand in your bedroom, placed next to your living-room couch, or as a handy table in your office. We see steel as an expression of the durability & lasting quality that our products stand for, while wood, as a natural material, serves as a distinctive counterpoint.
