It was a used oak barrique before, & it will become your individual wine barrel coffee table afterwards. Wine was stored in the robust oak barrel in France for around three to five years. We process the high-quality wood into authentic furniture that has a special charm. Fine natural bumps & a subtle red wine scent that doesn't linger in the room for long underline this charm. This coffee table allows a special insight into the inside of the barrel. When the red wine is stored, glittering tartar sometimes forms on the intensely red wood, which can be easily viewed through the glass top. You can also guess from the outside what the barrel was originally intended for. We deliberately retain typical scratches & red wine stains from storage to give the coffee table an authentic character. Can also be produced in other surfaces on request. The glass plate on top is made of tempered glass & is 1 cm thick & 80 cm in diameter. It rests on rubber holders that prevent the pane from slipping. in our workshop, the barrel is first sanded from the outside before it can be converted into a glass table. This removes coarse dirt & sources of danger (splinters, etc.) from the wood & the rings. Since wood is a natural product that continues to change even after processing, we carefully clamp the individual staves together. Nevertheless, fine gaps can form between the staves over time. For additional stability, the rings are firmly screwed to the barrel wood. Depending on the look, the table is finally oiled or varnished with paint. The barrel half & glass plate are packed & delivered separately, as the components are packaged more securely this way. Risk of glass breakage: Strong impacts, blows or sudden & one-sided loads on glass surfaces should be avoided. The product should be checked regularly for damage such as cracks or breaks. in the event of glass breakage (ESG), dispose of the damaged goods or individual parts properly using safety equipment (gloves).
