This stylish wine barrel coffee table is made from an old barrique barrel in which red wine was stored for around three to five years. The fine natural bumps, as well as the rustic look & the subtle smell of red wine (which is not noticeable in the room for long) make up the special charm of the piece of furniture. We also keep the typical scratches & red wine stains so that the history of the table is preserved. Our barrels are made from oak wood - a high-quality & robust raw material. The shelf, which serves as an additional storage area, is also made from this wood. To make the coffee table, the used wine barrel is first reconditioned. To do this, the wood & rings are sanded down to remove coarse dirt & splinters. The barrel staves are clamped together under the rings, although fine cracks can form between the staves when the wood dries out. The rings are then firmly screwed to the barrel wood. A special feature of the table is the shelf & the rounded corners, which in the next steps transform the used barrel into a piece of furniture. Depending on the surface, the table is then finished with oil or a glaze. Felt feet are included in delivery. The product is similar to the picture, but differs slightly due to the individual barrel characteristics. However, the final product is also unique.
