We use joinery-grade solid wood, so it can take a lot of weight. Whether you want to use this as a server rack or proudly display your Kemper Rack or Neve preamp, this beautifully rustic wooden storage rack will do the job brilliantly & add some serious style to your home studio. The unit comes fully equipped with rack mount strips & a handful of cage nuts & bolts to get you started right away. As standard, we make our 19 storage racks with 10cm hairpin legs, but if you prefer rubber feet for use on a desktop or locking castor wheels, just leave a note on your order & we'll sort that for you. We can make this unit to accommodate from 1u up to as many units as you need. Since we make every unit to order, everything on it can be fully customised, from bespoke dimensions to cable holes, to angled or straight face design. The rack strips are installed with a few millimetres of space above & below to allow enough airflow for ventilation & to give some tolerance for oversized rack units that can protrude slightly, which helps avoid any potential fitment issues. All sizes from 5u or bigger will have a 5cm horizontal bar of wood at the bottom at the front, as seen in the listing photos. This is to hide away cables & extension leads. This can be removed if you prefer not to have it or if you are working with a limited height space. The unit in the photos is the 14u size, finished in dark oak, which is non-toxic & eco-friendly. There are more finishes available as shown in the last photo, but we can also finish or paint it in your preferred colour if none of the standard options are suitable for you. The finish is waterproof & requires little to no maintenance, easily cleaned with a damp cloth. - Wood Characteristics Wood is a living, breathing material. Natural wood has characteristics that include knots, variations in grain & differences in colour. Drying the wood properly reduces splitting & warping but because wood is living, its moisture content will fluctuate based on the humidity of its surroundings & will cause some natural movement. Our wooden desks are thoughtfully designed, manufactured & finished with care, to allow for this natural movement of the wood. Any imperfections in solid wood reveal its age & history & the reclaimed planks that we use for our pieces may feature small cracks & knots, different wood grains & signs of previous wear. These variations in the wood are to be expected & celebrated & we promise that they will not affect the functionality or structural integrity of the piece. in truth, these little imperfections enhance the unique character of the office desk which means that you can be certain that no other piece will be exactly like yours. - Shipping Your rack storage unit will be delivered with the legs / castor wheels detached to eliminate the risk of damage during transit. A simple assembly will be required to install the legs / wheels. Screws will be provided! You will just need a screwdriver. We offer free delivery to all UK addresses. For orders outside of the UK, all import costs, including customs, duties & tariffs, as well as delivery costs, will be included in the price at checkout.
