Rectangular Pen Tray, Jewelry Hand-Thrown - Unique Piece With Real Gold

Hand-thrown pen tray with a real gold rim. I made this pen holder using the slab technique. I roll out stoneware clay, cut out rectangles, & join them together. After an initial firing at 900oC, the piece is glazed with a dark blue-gray glaze. After a glaze firing at 1240oC, I add further decoration in real gold. This is then fired again at 700oC. Width approx. 20 cm Depth approx. 9 cm Height approx. 2.2 cm The bowl is waterproof & can be cleaned by hand with dish soap. Cleaning in the dishwasher is not recommended, as the real gold rim may fade. Made in Munich, each piece is unique. Packaging & shipping are plastic-free or use recycled plastic.
