Welcome to my newest design concept, natural patina 130 year old antique ceiling tin tile panels used as 2D wall reliefs. If you collect antique tin as I have for 40 years, it doesn't take long to realize that not all tin is created equal. Because of the elements & time bearing down on the tin tile panels they all age differently. This pattern & surface texture has always fascinated me as a collector & artist. A small number of my panels stored away have this fantastic verdigris green metal color, similar to aged copper. Less then 1 per cent of all the tin I own looks like this architectual fragment. Also in 40 years of collecting I have only owned or saw this pattern once, the day I bought it in an antique shop in Indianapolis 20 years ago. This tin does have a Art Deco stye & coloring to it, but it is much older then that period of the 1920's 30's. It can be hung vertically & would make a great entry way art panel, or horizontally as a very unusual headboard. The tin has been sealeed so it will stay looking the way it does in these beautiful pictures for some time. All my tin art is framed in quality birch wood & ready to hang out of the shipping crate. It is signed dated & carries my studio sticker on the reverse side. Three individual panel tin tiles can be hung in any direction & are self hanging, vertical, horizontal or on the diamond point.
