This is original hand drawn art by automotive artist Julie Stitt. Her art has been cut into metal using our computer controlled plasma cutting system. All of the finishing work is done by hand, so each sign has a genuine rustic/hand-made appeal to it. It is made of American made 14 gauge (very sturdy, but not too bulky) pickled & oiled steel, which is steel that has been bathed in acid to remove the outer layer of iron oxide which gives it a nice shine & then dipped in oil to preserve it. Please note that because of this, you may notice the oily coating on the sign & it may leave some residue behind if not wiped off. Each piece of this metal is like a piece of wood, it has a grain to it with swirls & lines throughout. This metal is excellent for painting, staining, or can be left as is where it will get a light patina' on it over time.
