The MAKO lamp. Handcrafted, one-of-a-kind fiberglass melting drip resin pendant lamp. Jellyfish & mushroom shaped lighting. This lamp took about 1 week to complete & includes about 10 layers of resin. The liquid resin start off in flux as it drops down but, quickly hardens leaving the melting drips frozen in time. The final outcome an other-worldly beautiful jewel like, crystal, jellyfish, mushrooms, organic, one-of-a-kind sculptural lamp. I start off by cutting, tying, & shaping the fiberglass fabric to form a basic lamp shape. Then, I mix the resin, color dye & catalyst. Next, I start to brush, pour, & drip the liquid resin onto the fiberglass fabric. As I am pouring the resin I am also shaping & pulling the fabric by hand as it is quickly hardening. The resin hardens in about 15-20 minutes so I have to work quickly. Each lamp has several pours of resin to reach its final form. Small studio craftsmanship. Made in Los Angeles. This unique handmade home decor lamp is perfect for living rooms, dinning rooms, bedrooms. This lamp has two individual parts that are put together to create the final lamp. The color is amber & clear translucent fiberglass. Comes with a 5 feet long cord, light bulb socket, & ceiling canopy ready to hang. Optional: I could also make it with a 15 ft. cord with dimmer & wall plug. Just let me know when placing the order. Uses one low voltage standard clear glass LED bulb included. Ambient light works best with a dimmer wall switch. Height of 13 inches & diameter of 10 inches at the base. The Mako Lamp.
