Our authentic wine barrel coffee table with rounded corners is made from an old barrique barrel in which red wine was stored for around three to five years. The history of the product is reflected in the rustic look, as well as the fine signs of wear & the subtle smell of red wine. The smell of wine does not linger in the room for long & disappears after a few days. The table is made from an oak barrel. The craftsmanship of the barrel makers & the oak as a robust raw material make the table a high-quality & authentic piece of furniture that exudes a certain charm in every room. The cutout with shelf offers additional space & is stylishly framed with the rounded corners. in our barrel forge, the used wine barrels are first refurbished. To remove coarse dirt & sources of damage (splinters, etc.), the barrel wood & the metal rings are sanded down. The individual barrel staves are then clamped together under the rings. For further stability & durability, we then screw the rings firmly to the barrel wood. Nevertheless, over time, small gaps can appear between the staves due to the natural changes in the wood as it dries. Finally, the table is glazed with white paint & then lightly sanded down again. This brings out the staves & grain even better & creates a chic vintage or used look.
