Our wine barrels were used for storing red wine for around three to five years & are now finding their second use with us. Wine stains, scratches & the fine scent of red wine, which disappears within a few days, are evidence of the barrel's origin. The individual characteristics make each table unique. The many shelves, which create a lot of storage space, are particularly practical: the cutouts with shelves in the lower area, the middle shelf & the removable lid as a third surface. The oak table is varnished white to give it its special look & then sanded again. This creates the slightly worn surface. Before that, however, the wine barrel is first reworked by hand to make a coffee table. in the first step, the rings & barrel wood are sanded down so that coarse dirt & splinters disappear. The barrel staves are then carefully clamped together & the rings are attached to the barrel with screws. However, fine cracks can appear over time. Wood is a natural material that changes naturally as it dries out & is exposed to other external influences. The shelves & the removable lid are made of oak & are individually adapted to the dimensions of the barrel.
