The wine barrel coffee table with wooden lid is a decorative piece of furniture made from a used wine barrel. Thanks to the removable oak lid, this side table not only looks particularly chic, but also offers a lot of storage space inside. Before the oak barrel became a coffee table, it was used to store red wine for three to five years. If you remove the solid lid, you can see the history of the wine barrel very clearly. Inside, you can see the intensely red-colored wood & some tartar, while it smells subtly of red wine. But you don't have to worry about the smell developing too strongly in the room, as the fine scent disappears after a few days. During production, the barrel is sanded down & freed of coarse dirt & splinters. However, we try to retain characteristics such as red wine stains, scratches & the like, as these special features ultimately make the barrel furniture a unique piece with a history. The barrel staves are carefully clamped under the rings so that they stay in place even as they continue to dry out. However, small gaps can appear between the staves. For further stability, the rings are screwed to the barrel. To avoid injuries, they are also sanded down. The wooden lid is made of oak & can be easily removed using the milled hole. This means that the inside of the barrel can be used optimally for storage.
