This dome-shaped lamp carries the most intricate glaze of the three lamps in this style brown, beige, & a hint of salmon pink, built up in interwoven layers whose drips melted into one another through multiple firings in live flame. The exterior stays raw & unglazed, showing the honest, hand-carved texture of the clay itself. A single lamp I can build the same shade again, but never quite the same colors. Bulb not included. How it was made Shaped by hand, without a potter's wheel, then air-dried & bisque-fired in a gas kiln. The glaze was applied in several layers, & the lamp was fired multiple times to build up its deep textures & organic dripping effects. The final firing at around 1000oC (1832oF) gives it a distinctive look, with subtle crackle & earthy irregularities throughout. Lead-free, non-toxic glazes throughout. Signed. Care Wipe gently with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. No detergents needed. Packaging & shipping I pack every piece the way museums & galleries do: wrapped first in tissue paper, then nested into styrofoam hollowed out to its exact shape, boxed in cardboard, & finally wrapped in paper decorative paper first, if it's a gift or a special order.
